Education, training & resources

At NQWLS, we are passionate about community legal education and empowering people with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions. We work collaboratively with organisations, schools, and community groups across North and Far North Queensland to deliver accessible legal information, workshops, and community education initiatives.

Our team can provide presentations and information sessions on a wide range of topics, including family law matters such as divorce, parenting arrangements, property settlements, and child support, as well as domestic and family violence, child protection, sexual assault, discrimination, human rights, and Victim Assist. Sessions can be delivered in person or online and tailored to suit the needs of your organisation, workplace, school, or community group.

We also deliver respectful relationships education for schools and young people, focusing on healthy relationships, resilience, confidence, consent, and respectful behaviours. These interactive sessions are designed to support young people to build positive connections and develop the skills to navigate relationships safely and respectfully.

Explore our factsheets and resources, blog posts and media coverage, workshops and presentations, campaigns, and community events to learn more about the work we do and the issues impacting women across our region. If you would like to organise a presentation or community education session, we would love to hear from you.
