The North Queensland Women's Legal Service Inc (NQWLS)

is a community based legal service developed and operated by women for women. The NQWLS seeks to improve women’s access to justice and to promote change within the justice system. Solicitors are available in both the Cairns and Townsville offices.

The service offers assistance in areas of law which commonly affect women (young or old), such as family law and domestic violence. Women from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds are part of our target group and we offer telephone translator assistance if needed in legal advice sessions.

Elder & Multi-cultural Outreach & CLE
Community legal education and advice services in Mackay, Ayr, Cardwell, Ingham and Charters Towers for older women and women from CALD backgrounds are available by arrangement. Phone: 07 47725400
